Bahrain is set to host the International Tourism Investment Forum on 10–12 January 2027 in partnership with UN Tourism, creating a meeting point for governments, investors and tourism businesses.
UN Tourism announced the plan on 18 September. The event will take place under the patronage of Bahrain’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
The programme is intended to examine the direction of tourism investment, project financing and partnerships capable of delivering long-term economic and social benefits. Bahrain’s tourism projects and investment opportunities will also be presented to international investors.
The hosting agreement was signed by Bahrain’s tourism minister, Fatima bint Jaafar Al Sairafi, and UN Tourism’s secretary-general at Arabian Travel Market in Dubai.
The forum’s significance will depend on whether discussion leads to investable projects and durable partnerships. For now, the announcement establishes the dates and purpose of the gathering; it does not represent confirmed investment flows or completed tourism developments.
